Salem High School Earns Silver Medal Ranking

Salem, Canton and Plymouth high schools earn high marks for U.S. News and World Report.

PLYMOUTH, MI — Salem High School is the 32nd best high school in Michigan, according to U.S. News and World Report. Overall, the school ranked as the 397th best high school in the country. Canton High School ranked 33rd and Plymouth High 34th.

U.S. News and World Report has crunched the numbers for 2017, releasing its annual list of best high schools in the country. In Michigan, Wellspring Preparatory High School in Grand Rapids earned the title of the best high school in the state. Overall, the school ranked 211th in the country. Arbor Preparatory in Ypsilanti ranked as the second best in Michigan, followed by Black River Public High School in in Holland.

Six Michigan high schools were given gold medals by U.S. News, 77 received silver and 52 received bronze medals. All three Plymouth-Canton Community high schools received silver medal designations for their rankings.
