School Bus Driver, Kids Injured In Southeast MI Cash: Police
Police believe the driver lost control of the bus when it started sliding on ice, before eventually rolling into a ditch off the road.
WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — Multiple kids and a school bus driver suffered minor injuries in a Thursday crash in Washtenaw County, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened in the 9700 block of Talladay Road in Augusta Township at 4:13 p.m. Thursday when the bus driver was bringing the kids home from Lincoln Consolidated Schools, according to police.
Police believe the bus had just dropped off a student and was moving east on the road when it started to slide on ice.

The driver then lost control of the bus, and it went off the road and rolled into a ditch, according to police.
Augusta Township Fire Chief Dave Music told reporters investigators believe the bus was moving at roughly 10 miles per hour when it slid off the road.

The bus was carrying 30 children, some of which suffered minor injuries, but were otherwise cleared and turned over to their parents at the scene, according to police.
The bus driver also suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated, according to police.
Lincoln Consolidated Schools said they are cooperating with police as they continue investigating the crash.
