UM Student Hit, Hurt By Car On Ann Arbor Campus: Police
The driver stopped at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, according to police.
ANN ARBOR, MI — A University of Michigan-Ann Arbor student is in stable condition after he was hit by a car on campus Wednesday morning, according to police.
Police said the 24-year-old student was hit by a car at a mid-block crosswalk in the area of North University Avenue near South Thayer Street at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition, according to police.

The driver, a 72-year-old Ypsilanti woman, was driving west on North University when she hit the man, according to police.

Investigators do not believe speed or reckless driving played a factor in the crash, but were still looking into whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
