Unknown Man Calls in Bomb Threat to Canton Motel

An unknown man called in a bomb threat to America's Best Motel in Canton during the early morning hours on May 26, according to a police report.

The desk clerk told police that she received a phone call around 12:45 a.m. from a man who told her he had placed a bomb in one of the motel's rooms. The clerk said she could hear a woman laughing in the background before the man hung up, the report said. 

The Michigan State Police bomb dog cleared every vacant room in the motel and didn't locate any kind of device, according to the report. 

The clerk told police she had no idea who the caller was, the report said.
