Woman, 30, Found Dead In Canton Home After Domestic Assault: Police

One person has been arrested.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 30-year-old woman was found dead inside a Canton home Monday, according to police.

Officers were called to a home in the 200 block of Pinehurt Drive at 3:32 p.m. and found the woman not breathing, according to police.

Investigators believe domestic violence played a role and have arrested one person in connection with the killing.

Police did not release the age or gender of the suspect. They will also not release the woman's identity until family members can be notified.

Once their investigation is complete, police will turn over their findings to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for a review of possible charges.

Police said there is no known threat to the public’s safety.
