Alleged Armed Robber On The Run After Targeting Oakland County 7-Eleven
There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of the suspect.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — An Oakland County 7-Eleven was the scene of an armed robbery — and the suspect is on the loose, according to a press release. Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a 7-Eleven in the 1100 block of Baldwin Rd. on Jan. 25 at 3:34 a.m.
The female cashier on duty told Deputies that the store had been robbed by a suspect described as a black man between the ages of 35-40 and who was wearing gray sweatpants and brown Timberland boots.
The cashier relayed to Deputies that the suspect and another man were at 7-Eleven for about an hour trying to sell her a cell phone, according to the police report. After the clerk refused to buy the phone or sell alcohol to the men, they reportedly drove off in a silver Jeep — possibly a late model Jeep Patriot.

The clerk said an hour passed and the suspect allegedly returned to the store, walked behind the counter and showed a semi-automatic handgun, according to Deputies. The suspect reportedly pointed the gun at the clerk while demanding money from the register, Deputies say. After the clerk obeyed his request, the suspect allegedly fled the scene on foot with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes.
