Oakland County Sheriff Calls BS On Claim That Ram's $34K Mechanical Bull Was Stolen
Investigators determined the theft never occurred and the item was actually in the possession of people at the company.

PONTIAC, MI — Officials said a company's claim that its custom-made mechanical bull was stolen during an Oakland County racing event last weekend is false.
Ram said someone stole their $34,000 "Bucking HEMI" mechanical bull during disassembly last Saturday after Roadkill Nights, a Ram-sponsored event in Pontiac, according to a news release.
"This is bull****." The search is officially on and we won’t stop searching until we get him back," Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis was quoted in the news release.

After the company filed a police report, investigators determined the theft never occurred and the item was actually in the possession of people at the company, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
"The company never actually lost the bull," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "I find this to be very frustrating and a tremendous waste of valuable investigative time. Now, we’re pivoting to see if a crime was committed by the filing of a false police report."

The machine is silver and uses the image of a ram's head, similar to what the brand uses for its pickup trucks.
The company first introduced the mechanical bull two months ago at the Michigan International Speedway as a way of celebrating the automaker's NASCAR return.
