Downtown Rochester Farmers Market Opens Saturday: What To Know
Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming season at the Rochester Farmers Market.

ROCHESTER, MI — Downtown Rochester's farmers market is opening Saturday for its 25th season.
Meet at the market, where friends and families can access the freshest locally grown products, is located at the corner of E. Third and Water Street, just one block east of Main Street.
The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, May through Oct. 26.

Sharon Ostrowski, Owner of SharKar Farms, has been with the Market since day one and is especially excited for this milestone season.
"After all these years we consider our customers more as friends. The Rochester Farmers’ Market is our second home away from home," Ostrowski said. "We appreciate everyone that has supported our family farm over the last 25 years."

Marketing Coordinator for the Rochester Downtown Development Authority Taylor Knuth said "The market is not only a great way to start your Saturday but, it’s a great way to experience the vibrant community of local farmers and food-entrepreneurs for the freshest product."
Opening Day festivities will include:
- FREE Farmers’ Market Tote Bags with special offers from Downtown Rochester businesses and farmers’ market vendors for the first 500 adult customers (A giveaway for the kids, while supplies last).
- In honor of the market’s anniversary, 25 lucky tote bag receipts will receive $25 in Market Bucks Redeemable with any farmers’ market vendor this season.
- Live music from 10 am – Noon.
- For Walk, Bike & Roll to School Week, Ascension Providence will be giving away FREE children’s bike helmets (while supplies last).
- Enter-to-win for gift certificates donated by Downtown Rochester businesses.
The market features locally grown or made food products including vegetables, fruits, fresh cut flowers, herbs, baked goods, gnocchi, jams and jellies, honey, maple syrup, tea blends, locally roasted coffee and various local purveyors of products including eggs, beef, and chicken.
