PONTIAC, MI — Ethan Crumbley pleaded guilty to 24 charges in connection to the deadly Oxford school shooting Monday morning in an Oakland County courtroom.

Crumbley, 16, pleaded guilty to four counts of murder, one count of terrorism, seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.

Crumbley admitted in the courtroom that he walked out of the boy's bathroom in Oxford High School on Nov. 30 and began firing dozens of shots at people, killing four students and wounding seven other people, including a teacher.

"Is it true that your actions on Nov. 30, 2021 caused the deaths of (students Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, Hana St. Juliana and Justin Shilling), and that it was your intention to kill them?"

"Yes," Crumbley answered.

Crumbley's next court date is set for Feb. 9, 2023, when a judge will review his sentencing and how his age will factor in. An actual sentencing date was not set. Victims will be allowed to make public statements during the sentencing hearing, the judge said.
