Fires Damage Rochester Hills' Homes

A pair of recent fires in Rochester Hills damaged two homes, but left no injuries.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A pair of fires recently damaged two Rochester Hills homes, but didn’t hurt anyone. Both fires occurred on June 28, with the first in the 300 block of Tourangeau Drive at about noon. The second fire happened just 20 minutes later on Gravel Ridge Street, near John R and Hamlin roads.

The fire was contained to an outlying detached garage, a police report states. The cause of the Gravel Ridge fire was determined to be an acetylene torch used by the homeowner, who was making repairs to his car.
