ROCHESTER, MI — A tire thief is on the loose in Rochester!

On Dec. 15, Rochester police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Ferndale for a larceny complaint. Arriving officers observed a Chevy Suburban missing all 4 tires and resting on landscaping blocks. The incident is under investigation.

-Dec. 16 at approximately 12:00 a.m.: A Rochester police officer was in the area of Elizabeth and Parkdale when he observed a vehicle driving on Parkdale without its head lights on. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the occupants. While the officer was speaking to the occupants he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.

One of the passengers, an 18-year-old Rochester Hills resident, admitted to possessing marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 25.4 grams of marijuana. The passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the Rochester Police Department. The passenger was booked and released with a ticket for possession of marijuana.

-Dec. 11 at 2:30 a.m.: A Rochester police officer was on patrol in the area of Second and Walnut when he observed three male subjects urinating on a wall. All three subjects then ran away when they observed the officer. Two of the subjects a 25 year old Ann Arbor resident and a 28 year old St. Clair Shores resident were later located and arrested for disorderly conduct and urinating in public. The subjects were transported to the Rochester Police Department, booked and held until they were sober. Both subjects were released with tickets.
