ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help finding a Rochester Hills man who disappeared Friday.

The sheriff's office said Saturday that 68-year-old Raymond Norman Champagne apparently left his townhouse complex in the 400 block of Kensington Drive Friday afternoon and has not been seen from or heard from since. Authorities said Champagne has a traumatic brain injury.

"Please be on the lookout for Mr. Champagne who has been missing for over 24 hours," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "If you spot him, please call 911 immediately. An extensive search today was unsuccessful."

Champagne was described by authorities as a white man with green eyes, about 6-foot-tall, 170 pounds and balding with a gray or brown ponytail. He may be wearing a blue flannel shirt with blue jeans and white and blue Nike shoes, police said.

Deputies were first alerted to Champagne's disappearance around 11:30 p.m. Friday. Caregivers told authorities they last spoke with him by phone around 4 p.m. that day. Police said he left behind cigarettes and a cell phone, which his caregivers said was unusual. He may be on a dark-colored 10-speed bicycle, police said.
