Man Dies After Being Hit By Pickup Truck In Oakland County: Sheriff
Officials said the man was walking outside the designated crosswalk area.
PONTIAC, MI — A 37-year-old Flint man is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing an Oakland County road Friday, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at 8:38 p.m. Friday on Baldwin Road near Virginia Avenue in Pontiac, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials said Charles Arnold O’Connor was walking outside the designated crosswalk on Baldwin Road where he was hit by a Ford F-150 truck.

Officials and bystanders tried to perform CPR on O’Connor before he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, according to the sheriff's office.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 16-year-old Pontiac girl, was not injured in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said it doesn't appear she was speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They did not immediately know if drugs or alcohol were factors for O’Connor.
An autopsy has been scheduled and officials were still investigating the crash.
