Man Flees Police After Disturbance Near Apartment Tennis Courts

The 21-year-old from Rochester Hills is in the Oakland County Jail.

A 21-year-old Rochester Hills man was captured by police early Monday morning after causing a disturbance at a Rochester Hills apartment complex and then fleeing police in a red truck.

Deputies were called to an apartment complex on Village Green Boulevard at 1:08 a.m. Monday because of "unwanted subjects near the tennis courts," the report stated.

When deputies arrived they found evidence that the subjects, who fled to a nearby wooded area, had been drinking; they later located the subjects driving away in a red truck, according to the report.

When the deputies attempted to stop the truck, which was driving without headlights, the truck sped away to a home in the 3100 block of John R. The driver ran out of the truck but was ultimately captured by deputies, the report stated.
