Missing Rochester Hills Teen Found In Child Porn Suspect's Home: Sheriff

Investigators found the teen at a home on the west side of the state, officials said.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A missing Rochester Hills teen was found Thursday, and a 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her disappearance, according to sheriff's officials.

Officers found the 17-year-old girl in the 12000 block of North Bingham Avenue in Lilley Township in Newaygo County at 2 a.m. Thursday morning after spotting the suspect's vehicle. They also arrested the man at the home, officials said.

Investigators talked to the teen and then turned her over to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Officials said the teen is safe, but did not say whether she had been harmed. It was unclear if teen had any prior relationship to the man.

Officials did not name the man, but said he lives in the Bitely area in Newaygo County. He was charged with harboring a runaway, manufacturing child pornography and firearm-related offenses.

Police said the teen, who is a senior at ACE in Rochester Hills, had been last seen getting off the school bus at 3 p.m. last Friday. When she didn't return home, her father called police. Investigators believed she got into a Jeep Cherokee with someone who drove her from the scene.
