Police: Driver Had 2 Children, Dog in Car While Drunk

Rochester Police responded June 19 to the 600 block of North Main Street for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver, according to a police report. Police stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, a 40-year-old Rochester Hills resident, who was found to be drunk with two young children and a dog in the car. Police arrested the driver on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, child endangerment and open intoxication. The open intoxication and child endangerment charges were pending blood test results.

Rochester resident charged with disorderly intoxication

Rochester Police were dispatched June 24 to the area of South Main and Third for a complaint of a disorderly person, where they encountered an apparently intoxicated 44-year-old Rochester resident who was reportedly being loud and disruptive, according to a police report. The person was taken to Crittenton Hospital for detoxification and was later cited for disorderly intoxication.

Woman reports damaged windshield

Rochester Police were dispatched June 21 to the 400 block of N. Castell for a complaint of malicious destruction of property, according to a police report. Officers spoke with a woman at the scene who told police she had parked her car in front of her home the night before and when she returned that morning, she saw the windshield was damaged. The incident is under investigation.

19-year-old charged with marijuana, alcohol possession

Rochester Police were on patrol the night of June 19 in the area of Helen and Oakwood when they stopped a driver who was driving erratically, according to a police report. The driver, a 19-year-old Rochester Hills resident, was found to be in possession of marijuana and alcohol and was arrested on charges of possession of both, as well as with being a minor operating a vehicle after drinking. The driver was released later that evening when they became sober.

Driver arrested on marijuana charge

Rochester Police were patrolling the area of University and Pine on June 18 when they observed a vehicle driving with defective equipment, according to a police report. Officers made contact with the driver, a 23-year-old Sterling Heights resident, and detected what appeared to be burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to having marijuana and was arrested on charges of marijuana.
