Police Standoff Near Rochester Ends After Several Hours Thursday
A man threatened to harm himself when his wife and children left their home and called the police, according to reports.
ROCHESTER, MI — A police standoff near Rochester that began late Wednesday ended early Thursday morning, according to media reports.
Police from several agencies responded to a barricaded gunman situation north of Rochester, off of Mead Road and Waverly Drive in Oakland County after a man reportedly threatened to harm himself when his wife and children left their home and called police, FOX 2 reported.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office SWAT team responded to the scene before eventually dispersing, FOX 2 reported. Other officers remained at the scene. It remains unclear if there were any injuries, according to FOX 2.
