Living in the Rochester area is a pleasure for many reasons, great schools, the many parks and trails, and a vibrant downtown loaded with shops and restaurants. There is another feature about the Rochester area that makes it so livable, the pleasing landscaping throughout the community in both the commercial and public areas. Each year, the Rochester Garden Club identifies the grounds and gardens that are most outstanding and bestows its annual Beautification Award. This year the winner is the Paint Creek Tavern, that fun downtown spot to grab a burger and some laughs with friends.

Located on the banks of Paint Creek, the Paint Creek Tavern is a casual, welcoming restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Its location, delicious menu choices and fun vibe make it a hit. General Manager Josh Royster and Manager Jaclyn Butz were thrilled to receive the award. They gave recognition to Kirkland Landscaping for helping with planting and maintaining the lovely gardens. “I love gardens and raise dahlias and sunflowers at home,” said Jaclyn. “I am so happy that people like what we have done around the restaurant.” The good people of Rochester agree.
