ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — The Rochester Hills Fire Department will be celebrating Home Fire Sprinkler Week by conducting a Home Fire Sprinkler Demonstration on May 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. The event will be held at Rochester Hills Fire Department Station 1, located at 1111 Horizon Court Rochester Hills.

The Rochester Hills Fire Department was recently awarded a $500 stipend from the national nonprofit Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition (HFSC) to host this event. Fire departments across the country will conduct similar events during the week.

“We are honored to have been selected for this generous stipend,” said Assistant Chief William Cooke, who oversees the Community Risk Reduction Division of the Rochester Hills Fire Department. “Using the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition’s educational materials, we will raise awareness of how quickly a home fire can become deadly without the life-saving impact of home fire sprinklers.”
