Rochester Hosts Dancin’ In the Street Event

Join in for some swinging and swaying in downtown Rochester July 13.

ROCHESTER, MI — There will be some swingin’ and swayin’ in Downtown Rochester on July 13 for the return of Dancin’ in the Street. Dancin’ in the Street is back by popular demand, organizers say, and will kick off at 6 p.m., featuring live music, family friendly activities and a TasteFest from Rochester eateries.

“We are really excited for the return of Dancin’ in the Street” said Jenna O’Dell, Rochester Downtown Development Authority Events Coordinator. “We had a lot of requests to bring back the event, and we are ready to get people moovin’ and groovin’ again in Downtown Rochester. With music, dancing and a TasteFest, there’s something for everyone – kids, teens and adults!”

To keep everyone energized throughout Dancin’ in the Street, six Downtown Rochester restaurants will be featured in a TasteFest. TasteFest participants are: Rochester Mills Beer Co., D’Marcos Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar, O’Connor’s Public House, Penny Black Bar Grill and Tap, Kruse and Muer and Hungry Howie’s Pizza.

Take a look at the event lineup:

  • 6 – 10 pm TasteFest
  • 6 – 6:45 pm South Street Bridge
  • 7 – 10 pm SpaceCat
Dancin’ in the Street is located on W. Fourth Street between Main and Walnut in Downtown Rochester.
