These Rochester Hills Schools Received Green Grants

Here's the green projects of nine Rochester Hills schools that received the funding.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Rochester Hills schools have received funding for "green" projects and they range from indoor wall gardens to water bottle refill stations.

The City of Rochester Hills, in partnership with Recyclebank, announced that nine Rochester Hills schools received a total of $16,000 in green grants through the Recyclebank Green Schools Program. This program allows schools to educate and motivate students to promote a more sustainable, greener lifestyle.

The City of Rochester Hills and Recyclebank have been partners since 2008, and since 2011, Rochester Hills schools have participated in Recyclebank’s Green Schools Program, organizers said. Collectively, Recyclebank has awarded over $109,300 in grants for the Green Schools Project in Rochester Hills. This year, all of the schools achieved their donation goal.
