Tornado Touched Down Monday Night For 9 Minutes In Oakland County: NWS

The EF-0 tornado​ touched down at 11:33 p.m. along Lake Fenton​ in the Fenton and moved east-southeast toward Holly for 7.5 miles​.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — A tornado touched down in northwestern Oakland County Monday night for nine minutes, the National Weather Service said.

The EF-0 tornado touched down at 11:33 p.m. along Lake Fenton in Fenton Township and moved east-southeast toward Holly Township for 7.5 miles, the National Weather Service said.

Meteorologists said the tornado was 40 yards wide at its widest and had maximum winds of 65 miles per hour.

There were no injuries reported by officials, but the tornado did knock down numerous trees, especially in the Holly area, the National Weather Service said.

A home on Addis Road in Holly suffered the most damage by the tornado. The storm significantly damaged about a dozen trees, ripped vinyl siding panels off the home and some metal roofing off a barn, and damaged a pergola, the National Weather Service said.
