Woman Called 'Traveling Sex Predator' After Assault on Rochester Hills Girl
Police say 22-year-old Baltimore woman traveled to Michigan on Thanksgiving weekend and met up with 15-year-old girl she met online.

A 22-year-old Maryland woman who investigators say flew to Michigan last Thanksgiving and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old Rochester Hills girl she met online has been located, arrested and bound over to Oakland County Circuit Court for trial.
According to a report from the , whose Computer Crimes Unit has been investigating the incident since January, Roseanne Valesco Balagot is being held in the Oakland County Jail on a $75,000 bond. She was charged with criminal sexual conduct in the third degree and waived a pretrial hearing.
Investigators say Balagot, a citizen of the Philippines who lives in Essex, Baltimore, traveled to Michigan over the Thanksgiving holiday, picked up the 15-year-old victim, took her to an area hotel and sexually assaulted her.

The victim's parents notified the sheriff's department when they found evidence of the assault on their daughter's Facebook page, the report stated.Â
The Baltimore County Police Department, along with the FBI, assisted the sheriff's department in locating and subsequently arresting Balagot.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard praised his department's Computer Crimes Unit forÂ
"removing a sexual predator from the street."
"It also serves as a reminder to all parents to educate their children and teen-agers of the dangers of internet predators and electronic media, and to closely monitor their use of the internet, as well as their behavior," Bouchard said.
A trial date has not been set.
