Woman Dead, 3 Kids Hurt In Head-On Oakland Co. Crash: Sheriff
Officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A Troy woman was killed and three kids were injured in a Sunday head-on crash in Oakland County, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash happened at 4 p.m. Sunday on Rochester Road near Hickory Lawn Street in Rochester Hills, officials said.
Officials said 77-year-old Julianne McClure was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Trax south on Rochester Road near Hickory Lawn Street when her vehicle was hit by a 2006 Toyota Highlander. Officials said the Toyota crossed the centerline and struck the Chevrolet head-on.

Officers extricated McClure from the SUV and took her to a nearby hospital where she died Wednesday, officials said.
McClure's 15-year-old granddaughter, a resident of Minnetonka, Minn., was a front-seat passenger in the SUV, officials said.

She was also taken to a nearby hospital and treated for a broken ankle, officials said.
Officials said two children, ages 7 and 9, were backseat passengers in the Toyota and were injured in the crash. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials said.
The driver of the Toyota, a 31-year-old Lincoln Park man, was not injured in the crash, officials said.
Officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
