Bidding Starts at $4,400 for Royal Oak Home Up for Auction
It's one of six Royal Oak properties on the Oakland County auction block this week.
A home located at 1225 Cherokee Ave. is one of more than 1,500 properties to be auctioned this week as part of Oakland County's land sale of tax-foreclosed properties.
The minimum bid is $4,465.58 for the single-family home, which is featured on the searchable auction listing here.
It's one of six Royal Oak properties to be listed. The others are:

- 1511 Ottawa Dr., minimum bid: $22,123.01
- 4303 N. Verona Cir., minimum bid: $49,140.36
- 1520 Hoffman Ave., minimum bid: $17,691.84
- 622 E. University Ave., minimum bid: $17,954.56
- 3219 Benjimin Ave. #12, minimum bid: $5,761.11
Minimum bids on the county properties range from $339.40 for a piece of residential land in Pontiac to $98,775.73 for a vacant business lot in Holly.
State law requires counties to hold two auctions annually.

Here's what you need to know to participate in the auction:
- When: 10 a.m. Monday for township and village parcels; 10 a.m. Tuesday for all cities (except Pontiac); 10 a.m. Wednesday for Pontiac listings.
