Exploring Whittier Park in Royal Oak
Royal Oak has many parks that your family can explore all summer long.
It’s summer and it’s time to head outdoors for playtime, picnics, relaxation and fun.
Royal Oak has plenty of neighborhood parks for your family to explore this summer.
Whittier Park, which was founded in 1941, is located at Farnum and Alexander. With a soccer area, picnic area and a play structure, it is a great place to relax or play.The park is also home to the Pat Sullivan Pickleball Courts. Pickleball is played on a badminton court with a lowered net, paddles and a perforated plastic baseball. Clinics and tournaments for all skill levels are scheduled throughout the summer. The courts open at 9 a.m. daily.
