Video, Board and Lawn Game Event Supports Beaumont Children’s Hospital

Families, individuals and game groups are coming together to help sick and injured children treated at Beaumont Children’s Hospital with a fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 2called Extra Life. This event, in coordination with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America, adds a life-saving purpose to playing video, board and lawn games.

Gamers can register for free at www.Extra-Life.org and select Beaumont Children’s Hospital as their charity of choice. Once a fundraising account and goal is established, participants ask friends and family to support their game day.

“Extra Life was a big success for us last year,” says Matt Romkey, associate director, Children’s Miracle Network, Beaumont Children’s Hospital. “All funds raised by gamers in Southeast Michigan stay here and benefit the kids at Beaumont Children’s Hospital.”

In addition, this year Sony Computer Entertainment America, makers of PlayStation, have teamed up with Extra Life to drive and awareness and donations for Beaumont Children’s Hospital.
