9 Mile and Mack to 'Light Up The Night,' City Council to Meet and More This Week In St. Clair Shores

Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:

• St. Clair Shores City Council will hold an organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday to administer the oath of office and select a mayor pro-tem. Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. and will consider items including the contract for the St. Clair Shores Golf Club food and beverage operations.
• Camp Bow Wow will hold a seminar on pet nutrition at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
• The St. Clair Shores Library will host a Lego block party from 10 a.m. - noon Saturday.
• St. Clair Shores poet laureate M.L. Liebler will hold a poetry workshop at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the William R. Gilstorf Meeting Room at the library.  These sessions are free and open to all, ages 15 and over. Attendees are asked to pre-register by calling Liebler at (313) 577-7713 or emailing him at MLLiebler@aol.com. 
• The 9 Mack Merchants Association will hold a Light Up The Night Holiday Community Event at 6 p.m. Thursday. The event is scheduled to include holiday music, dance performances, tree lighting, food and an ugly sweater parade.
