Hurricane Irma Victims Get Help From St. Clair Shores Fireman
"Michigan Task Force 1," which includes numerous Macomb County firemen, are expected to arrive in Florida on Monday.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — The St. Clair Shores Fire Department’s Michael DeCraene is one of 45 Macomb County firefighters and others heading to Florida to help victims of Hurricane Irma. “Michigan Task Force 1” is expected to arrive in Jacksonville on Monday, bringing with them $9 million in equipment to help in relief efforts, according to a Macomb Daily report.

“They are very excited to get down there and do whatever they can to help the residents of Florida,” said Dave McIntyre, program manager for Michigan Task Force 1.
“They need help,” McIntyre said. “We were able to get everyone organized with the requested assistance. We are so proud of these guys and wish them well.”
