Prosecutors said Prezzato voted in person on Election Day in the 2024 August Primary Election in St. Clair Shores, despite having already returned an absentee ballot for the same election. Both his in-person and absentee votes were counted in the primary election, prosecutors said.

"Voting twice undermines our democratic process," Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a statement. "My office will continue to prosecute those who violate our voting laws to ensure Michigan voters have confidence in the integrity of our elections."
