Michigan McDonald's Worker Fatally Stabs Co-Worker: Police
Police said the two workers got into an argument before the stabbing, and a customer fired a gunshot to try to stop the attack.
EASTPOINTE, MI — A McDonald's employee was fatally stabbed by a co-worker Thursday morning in metro Detroit, police said.
The fatal stabbing happened just before 8 a.m. at a McDonald's in the 17900 block of 9 Mile Road in Eastpointe, police said.
Police said the two co-workers got into an argument earlier in the day and that one of those employees was sent home early. That employee later returned to the restaurant with a knife and stabbed the co-worker she was arguing with earlier, police said.

Police said a customer who witnessed the stabbing fired a shot to try and stop the attack. No one was struck by the bullet, police said.
The suspect tried to run away after the attack, but she was detained by the witness until officers arrested her, police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died from her stab wounds, police said.
Police were still investigating the stabbing and asked anyone with information to call Det. Showers at 586-445-9415.
The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and determine the appropriate charges.
