What's your most popular product or service?

The most popular flavor of pierogi that we currently produce is Gold Potato with Cheddar Cheese, which we call the "All American Flavor", since in Poland, a dry curd cottage or farmer cheese was used.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

The main ingredient in our pierogi dough is garbanzo bean flour which is high in protein, fiber and iron. Most people would never believe that the pierogi were gluten-free because they taste so good! Also, we don't use any artificial ingredients or preservatives.

When was the business founded?

August 2012

How did your business come to be?

Old World Gluten-Free, LLC grew out of a neccessity, when my son was diagnosed three and a half years ago with Juvenile Diabetes Type 1, and Celiac Disease. Being 1st generation born in the U. S. of Polish immigrants, I did not want my family to go without our cultural food traditions. The gluten-free lifestyle is also growing by leaps since more and more people are learning about the damaging effects on our bodies, of consuming too much gluten found, in our American food system.

Why did you choose the area you did?

I and my husband have lived in St. Clair Shores our entire lives. It's time to see some of these new businesses on the east side of town!
