Weapons offense arrest

A 20-year-old Hamtramck woman was arrested on a weapons offense Nov. 6 at Ridgeway and Harper. An officer observed the woman walking in the street and asked for identification. When asked why she was walking in the street when a sidewalk was available, she said she was not paying attention and didn't realize she was in the street, according to a report. The officer patted her down for safety and found a 3.75-inch knife in her pants and was arrested.

Car moved

A resident in the 600 block of Sunset Lane noticed her Chrysler Sebring was missing Nov. 5, and later discovered it was moved to another car port. Investigators found the door lock and ignition was punched out.

Attempted car theft

A resident in the 22400 block of 12 Mile reported Nov. 5 that someone tried to steal his Dodge Dakota. Investigators found the ignition was punched out of the truck. 

Dog statue stolen 

A resident of the 29800 block of Greater Mack reported Nov. 4 that his black Doberman statue, which weighed about 100 pounds, was stolen from his front lawn.

Money stolen from a car

Police were contacted Nov. 4 after a resident of the 21200 block of Evergreen reported that someone had rummaged through his vehicle and cash was taken from his wallet.
