Popular Macomb County BBQ Restaurant Closing Down After 20 Years
The BBQ restaurant is best known for its St. Louis-style spare ribs, beef brisket, rib tips and various smoked meats.
ROSEVILLE, MI — A popular Macomb County BBQ restaurant is closing down after 20 years this weekend.
Lazybones Smokehouse, located along Groesbeck Highway in Roseville, will shut down operations this Saturday, according to a social media post.
The owners said they sold the building to Ryder Truck, their next-door neighbor.

"This has been a tough decision, but it’s time to turn the page on what has been one of the most meaningful chapters of our lives," owners Deni and Louie Smiljanovski posted on Facebook.
While the restaurant is closing down, the Lazybones Smokehouse food truck will remain open and will operate out of Brown Iron Brewhouse locations, the owners said.

Brown Iron Brewhouse has locations in Royal Oak and Washington Township.

"This is a farewell to the original location (which has been in the family for 35 years) — but not to the flavor, not to the friendships, and not to the fire that started it all," the post read.
