Teen Dead After Three-Car Crash In Macomb County
The early morning head-on crash claimed the life of an 18-year-old Chesterfield Township man.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A teen died in a three-car crash early this morning, according to a Macomb County Sheriff's Office press release.
At roughly 2:46 a.m., an 18-year-old Chesterfield Township man was driving a 2007 BMW eastbound on North River Rd. in Harrison Township when the he tried passing a 2004 Saab that was also travelling eastbound. Deputies report that when the BMW driver crossed the center line, he collided head-on with a westbound 2010 Chevy Malibu.
Deputies report that the BMW driver died due to the impact. The driver of the Chevy Malibu, a 19 year-old from New Baltimore, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, and the 19-year-old Harrison Township driver of the Saab was not injured.

It is not known if alcohol played a part in the crash, which is under investigation by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
