Walz Making First Campaign Stop In Macomb County Friday

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be in Macomb County Friday for a campaign event.

Campaign officials did not specifically say where Walz will speak Friday, but confirmed he will be making his first campaign stop in Macomb County.

Walz was last in Michigan last month when he attended the Michigan Wolverines-Minnesota Golden Gophers football game at the Big House in Ann Arbor. He has also visited Grand Rapids and East Lansing recently.

The campaign stop comes just days after Republican vice presidential candidate and Ohio Senator JD Vance visited Eastern Market in Detroit. It will also follow a campaign event in Detroit by former President Donald Trump, who is expected to speak at the Detroit Economic Club on Thursday.
