• Taylor police seek public's help in identifying hit-and-run driver (thenewsherald.com) — Taylor police are asking residents for tips to identify a dark-colored SUV involved in a Nov. 23 hit-and-run near Kerstyn and Wendy streets, off Inkster south of Eureka. A caregiver’s car was totaled and she faces major medical bills, while the suspect vehicle likely has passenger-side front-end damage. Anyone with information is urged to call the Taylor Police Traffic Bureau.
   

• Senator Camilleri visits Fish and Loaves food pantry (downriversundaytimes.com) — State Sen. Darrin Camilleri recently visited Taylor’s Fish and Loaves Community Food Pantry to donate and see firsthand how it supports families across Downriver. The pantry now serves about 400 families weekly plus 800 more through its Fresh Market drive-through. Leaders say rising costs are pushing more local households to rely on their services, especially during the holidays.
   

• $32 million-winning Lotto 47 ticket sold at cigar shop in Chesterfield (wxyz.com) — A Michigan Lottery player previously hit a $1.3 million Lotto 47 jackpot with a ticket bought in Taylor, highlighting the city’s lucky streak. Now, a record $32.91 million Lotto 47 ticket has been sold at a Chesterfield cigar shop, and the winner has one year to claim the prize through the Lottery’s Player Relations office.
