American Red Cross Calls for Emergency Blood Donations

Weather-related blood drive cancellations result in low supplies across southeast Michigan. Give blood in Troy or at a nearby center!

Due to weather-related blood drive cancellations, the American Red Cross is urging donors who can safely travel to donate at any of the following centers:

Monday, Feb. 11

  • Site: Former Suburban Hummer Facility (1755 Maplelawn Dr., Troy)
  • Time: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Donation Types: Double Red Cells, Blood
  • Notes: All who come to donate are entered to win 60" flat screen tv, an iPad, and various $100 Gift cards. Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) for availability.
  • Site: St. Andrews Catholic Church (1234 Inglewood, Rochester)
  • Time: 12 noon-8 p.m.
  • Donation Types: Double Red Cells, Blood

Tuesday, Feb. 12

  • Site: Bloomfield Blood Donation Center (4190 Telegraph Rd., Bloomfield)
  • Time: 1 p.m.-7 p.m.
  • Donation Types: Double Red Cells, Blood

Wednesday, Feb. 13

  • Site: GP Strategies (300 E. Big Beaver Rd., Troy)
  • Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Donation Types: Blood
