At Troy Patch, we're committed to getting it right. Our goal is to bring you the most accurate and timely community news possible, but sometimes we make mistakes or incorrect information is provided to us. When that happens, we'll acknowledge and fix it as quickly as we can.
We do this because we understand that being credible is essential to do our job as journalists and earning your trust is something we must do every day with every story. This transparency is part of that.
So when we publish factual mistakes, you'll see an editor's note in italics at the bottom of the story with a brief explanation. In addition, we'll list the most recent errors in this file that'll be featured on the site when they happen.Â

Just like everything else on Troy Patch, we need your help to make this the best site it can be. If you find a factual error, tell us about it by e-mailing local editor Tim Rath at tim.rath@patch.com.
Here are our most recent corrections or clarifications:
- Clarification: Direct quotes attributed to Pamela Epple in an article about the Troy mayoral election were paraphrased to reflect the meaning the source inteded after she provided feedback to Patch.
- Correction: A letter to the editor written by Toby Gosselin was mistakenly attributed to Cathy Fucinari and published April 17. An apology was issued to Ms. Fucinari and her corrected letter was re-published.
