Cub Scout Troop 1712 Leads Pledge of Allegiance at City Council Meeting
The troop from Wattles Elementary helps kick off Monday night's meeting.
On Monday evening, eight Cub Scouts from Wattles Elementary Troop 1712 bravely stood up before a room of more than 50 adults, saluted the flag and led the Pledge of Allegiance, kicking off the Troy City Council meeting.
"The kids couldn't wait to be on TV," said Tony DiPerna, den leader of the troop. He added that the boys were very excited to be able to lead the Pledge of Allegiance Monday night.
