'Dane and Dave' Set to Hit the Airwaves in Troy

The Troy Mayor and City Councilman are working to promote Troy.

Two members of the Troy City Council are coming together in hopes of producing and starring in a regular television show on Community Media Network.

The Dane and Dave Show Page on Facebook updated on Monday that filming and editing the first episode of the show, starring Mayor Dane Slater and Councilman Dave Henderson, has been completed in hopes of broadcasting the week of June 17.

Henderson said at the June 3 City Council meeting that the program, dedicated to promoting various relationships between public and private enterprise in Troy has been in the planning stages for about one year prior to its debut.

Slater added that the show, the first episode of which recorded at Sanctuary Lake in Troy, is monthly and that suggestions for possible locations to film from in the future would be considered.

"We chose to go to the golf courses first and show how a private and public enterprise and come together and do what’s best for the community," Slater said at the meeting. "We're calling it The Dane and Dave Show, so I get top-billing this time, because of a putting contest we had at the golf course."

"What Councilman Henderson and I are trying to do is promote Troy and promote troy in a positive light. ... We're going to see how it goes."
