DTE Lists Neighborhoods to Lose Power Near Rochester and Square Lake Roads

Outages are scheduled so crews can repair damage to a large utility pole damaged in a traffic accident late Wednesday night.

UPDATE: Power was restored to the affected areas around 5 p.m. Thursday, according to DTE Energy.

Neighborhoods near the intersection of Rochester and Square Lake roads will be without power for up to five hours Thursday afternoon while DTE Energy crews repair a utility pole and power lines that were damaged in a car accident late Wednesday night. 

The crash at Square Lake. Rochester Road is tentatively scheduled to reopen after noon Thursday, according to Troy Police.

A notice sent out via email by the City of Troy on Thursday morning informs residents that power will be shut off starting between 11 a.m and 2 p.m. and will remain off for four-five hours. In the meantime, the city invites affected residents to warm up at the and the , which are open until 10:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.
