Fuel Report: Gas Prices Hit $3.70 in Troy

Snow may be on the way but there's one bright spot for your Monday morning commute: gas prices are on their way down again.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.83 this morning, down a dime from $3.93 a gallon a week ago.

If you're still looking for inexpensive gas, the cheapest reported gas in the region can be found in South Lyon and Detroit, where gas is $3.59 a gallon at three stations, including two on Pontiac Trail and another at Plymouth Road and Schaefer Highway.

In Troy, gas prices are closer to than the regional averages, with the lowest gas price coming in at $3.70 a gallon at the Kroger station on South Boulevard and Crooks Road.
