Knife-Wielding Man Charged with Assaulting Wife in Troy Home
Officers interrupt the attack in which the woman suffers minor injuries, Troy Police say.

Troy Police responded Jan. 7 to a Troy home after a woman called dispatch saying her husband was trying to kill her, according to Troy Police.
The call disconnected, and when dispatchers attempted to call the number back, it went to voicemail, police said.
Upon arriving, Troy officers said they overheard yelling and other noises coming from inside the home. Officers kicked in the door and discovered the woman was being assaulted with a knife, they said.

"Our going in stopped the assault, and we separated the husband and wife," said Officer Andrew Breidenich, public information officer for the . "We interviewed both, then arrested the husband."
The woman was not seriously injured and did not require medical attention.

The suspect was arrested on charges of felonious assault and arraigned on $20,000 surety bond, Breidenich said. The man posted bond and was released, pending a trial date. He was ordered not to contact the victim.
