MSP Working To ID 2 Involved In Wrong-Way Crash Friday Morning
Police said two people in the wrong-way vehicle were uncooperative and refused to provide their names or speak with police.
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Michigan State Police are trying to identify two people involved in a wrong-way crash early Friday morning on Kent Lake Road, near I-96, in Oakland County.
The two people were in a Chevy Tahoe that police said was traveling south on Kent Lake Road and entered the westbound I-96 ramp going the wrong way at a high rate of speed around 3:25 a.m. Police said the vehicle left the ramp and hit a light pole.
Both occupants, a man and a woman, received serious injuries, according to police. They were transported to a local hospital, police said.

Oakland County Sheriffs deputies initially arrived to the scene and performed first aid, police said, before requesting help from Michigan State Police to handle the crash investigation.

The Tahoe is unregistered and severely damaged, making owner identification more difficult, police said.
Police said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
