Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs, 8:47 a.m. Sunday

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Oakland County Sheriff's deputies said they were dispatched around 8:47 a.m. Sunday to the 1300 block of Lakeview Drive after the report of two people being found unconscious inside a vehicle. According to police, the driver, a 28-year-old Rochester Hills man, was slumped over the steering wheel. The front seat passenger, a 27-year-old Rochester Hills woman, was slumped over and leaning on the door inside the vehicle when police arrived. Both were incoherent and had slurred speech, police said.

Paramedics took the front seat passenger to the hospital for evaluation, police said the driver was medically cleared by paramedics and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.

Attempted Murder, 6:51 p.m. Sunday

OAKLAND TWP., MI — A 31-year-old Oakland Township man has been accused of attempted murder, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

According to police, deputies responded to the 400 block of Elm Court following the report that gunshots were fired into a home. The victim, a 24-year-old Oakland Township man, said an acquaintance came into his home and shot at him, police said. The man said the bullet missed and he ran into a bedroom to hide and call police, police said. The accused ran from the home, police said.

Deputies located the suspect standing outside his vehicle on Rochester Road and was arrested without incident, police said. A .25 caliber Raven Arms pistol was recovered at the scene, police said.

Infant Found Not Breathing, 3:16 a.m. Monday

PONTIAC, MI — Oakland County deputies and paramedics responded to the 10 block of Gingell Court after the report of an unresponsive 5-month-old child. Paramedics began CPR upon arriving at the home, police said. Blood was coming from the infant's nose, police said. The child was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, police said. Emergency room personnel were able to reestablish a pulse before the child was taken to a Detroit area hospital for further care, police said.

Deputies said they spoke with the person who called police, the infant's grandmother, who said she woke up and checked on all seven children inside the home. The infant had been sleeping in bed with her father, police said. The woman told police the infant's head was facing the doorwy and infant had blood under her nose, police said. When the woman noticed this and that the child was unresponsive, she called police, police said. The child's mother was asleep on the floor, police said.

Police notified Children's Protective Services, police said. The child has been placed on a ventilator, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
