Oakland County Parks Resume Park Entry Fee
After nearly three months of waiving the park entry fee for eight Oakland County Parks, the parks system has resumed its admission fee.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — After nearly three months of waiving the park entry fee for eight Oakland County Parks, the parks system has resumed its admission fee, the county announced Friday.
The fee had been waived in an effort to provide a safe respite from isolation orders due to the coronavirus, which has killed more than 5,000 people in Michigan during the ongoing pandemic. More parts of the state's economy has opened as the state continues to move forward.
Daily park entry is $5 per vehicle for Oakland County residents; non-residents pay $12. Seniors ages 62 and older, persons with disabilities, military personnel and veterans pay $4 per vehicle. When contact stations are closed, visitors can purchase the daily pass at electronic pay stations at the park entrances.

A daily pass may be turned in at the contact station and credited toward the purchase of an Oakland County Parks and Recreation 2020 Annual Vehicle Permit, officials said. Annual permits may be purchased at the park contact station, by mail or online.
The contact stations at Lyon Oaks, Orion Oaks and Red Oaks will be operational when the dog parks open on Saturday.
