Fistfight Breaks Out Over Parking Space at Somerset; Man Found with Beer in Whole Foods Restroom

responded to the parking lot of Friday night after a fistfight broke out between a 27-year-old man from Sterling Heights and a 24-year-old man from Tennessee. The two men were reportedly fighting over a parking spot; the Sterling Heights resident sustained a minor injury. The case has been turned over to the city's attorney.

Police cite owner of barking dog

Troy Police officers were dispatched Friday evening for reports of a dog barking on the 1000 block of Boyd. Officers attempted to locate the owners but were unable to do so. It was the eighth time in four months officers have been dispatching to the home for a barking dog complaint, according to Troy Police; the owner was left a citation.

Man found with beer in bathroom of Whole Foods

A store employee at reported finding a man in the restroom Friday morning with an empty beer can that "appeared to have been stolen from the store," according to a media release from Troy Police. The employee was escorting the man from the premises when the man allegedly picked up a package of greeting cards and concealed them. Whole Foods declined to prosecute the 58-year-old Pontiac man.

Condoms, merchandise, watch stolen from stores

A 20-year-old man from Ecorse and a 28-year-old woman from Dearborn were arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly stealing 27 pieces of merchandise from ; a 57-year-old man from Detroit is accused of stealing four boxes of condoms from Friday night; a 17-year-old girl from Clinton Township was arrested for allegedly stealing a watch from Sears on Christmas Eve.
