Girl Reports Assault at Oakland Mall; Thieves Steal Catalytic Converters

Troy Police officers responded to Monday evening for a report of an assault on a girl. According to the Troy Police report, a middle-school-aged girl reported being assaulted by another girl who "followed her around the mall" before assaulting her outside the mall.
The girl who made the report said the suspect "grabbed her by her hair and punched her in the head and face" before fleeing back into the mall, according to the report. The victim, who was at the mall with her friend and mother, said she did not know the suspect, whom she reported to be around 11 years old.
Man arrested for possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia
Troy Police arrested an 18-year-old man from Kalamazoo Tuesday morning near Maple and Doyle for possession of heroin, prescription drugs and narcotic paraphernalia after the man was stopped for a traffic violation, according to a Troy Police report.

Police found heroin, prescription drugs that were not prescribed to the driver and syringes in the vehicle after the driver consented to a search, according to the report.
Thieves steal catalytic converters, wallets from vehicles
Four incidents of larcenies from autos were reported. On Friday, a woman at the reported someone had stolen all four of the aluminum hubcaps from her vehicle during the day.
