Man Driving Wrong Way on I-75 Charged in Head-On Collision; Irate Customer Escorted from Kroger

Man driving wrong way on I-75 charged in head-on collision
Shortly before midnight Saturday, Troy Police received a call about a vehicle driving northbound in a southbound lane of Interstate 75 near 14 Mile Road. As officers were en route, another call came in for a head-on collision, according to Troy Police.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash, though the driver and passenger in the southbound vehicle were uninjured.

A Troy Police officer interviewed the responsible driver, who admitted to drinking at his friend's house "and had no idea where he got onto I-75," according to a police report. He was transported to Beaumont Hospital in Troy for treatment.
A blood test revealed the driver's blood-alcohol level to be 0.24 percent – three times the legal limit. The 52-year-old Clarkston man was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense, according to the report.

Vehicle hits fire hydrant
A vehicle struck a fire hydrant early Sunday on the 6000 block of Forest Park. The suspected vehicle is described as a silver pickup, according to the police report.
Man with 'large head' uses dead man's ATM card
A family member of a dead man reported than an unknown person had used the deceased man's ATM card Dec. 22 at Genisys Credit Union. The ATM camera shows that the suspect is "an unknown male with a large head," according to a Troy Police report.
Vehicles vandalized during the night
Two vehicles were vandalized overnight Feb. 9-10. One vehicle, which was parked on the 1000 block of Chaucer, had its rear window broken, according to a police report. A vehicle on the 2000 block of Majestic Court had its side window broken, a report said.
Resident reports suspicious man looking in car windows
A resident on the 2000 block of Lovington reported a man looking through the windows of his parked van around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. The subject, who is described as an unknown male wearing blue jeans and an off-white shirt, fled on foot and was not apprehended, a police report said.
Irate customer escorted from Kroger
Troy Police responded Monday morning to Kroger for a report of an irate customer making threats. The man was escorted from the store without incident, according to a Troy Police report. He was advised that if he returned to Kroger, he would be arrested.
